Speerstra x Mobilab Gallery Switzerland presents "Intersections" Art & Design, the dialogue of all possibilities

12 November 2022 - 18 February 2023

A game of correspondences, crossings and interactions. Dedicated to the obvious links between art and design, "Intersections" is an exhibition that invites us to reinvent the aesthetics of our environment, at the crossroads of two distinct universes that have in common a passion for contemporary creation.

The "Intersections" exhibition is a proposal where the influences of two personalities from the French-speaking part of Switzerland with a passion for art meet:

Willem Speerstra, gallery owner and collector, a leading figure in the post-graffiti artistic movement that he has been defending for over thirty years.

Hérard, editor and collector, a key player in the Swiss design collection, which he has helped to define and establish by supporting emerging artists with his Mobilab Gallery.

A game of correspondences, crossings and interactions. Dedicated to the obvious links between art and design, "Intersections" is an exhibition that invites us to reinvent the aesthetics of our environment, at the crossroads of two distinct universes that have in common a passion for contemporary creation. The works of each artist, selected by Speerstra Gallery and Mobilab Gallery, are unique or in numbered edition. The installation proposes a dialogue of counter-intuitive combinations that allow us to enter straight into a conceptual space, where a harmonious feeling of balance and evidence reigns.

Sculpture, painting, photography, object and hybrid construction meet in this way, allowing themselves to define a new relationship and to impose the expression of their influences as such. Stimulated by inspirations, materials and techniques, bridges emerge, as if born from a common matrix, inscribing themselves in the same contemporary moment.
"Intersections" presents eight artists from the Swiss scene and four artists from the European scene:

Swox (Switzerland), Phillippe Cramer (Switzerland), L’Atlas (France), Adrien Rovero (Switzerland), Xavier Magaldi (Switzerland), Daniela Droz (Switzerland), Remi Rough (Great Britain), Tonatiuh Ambrosetti (Switzerland), Alex K. Smith (Belarus), Xavier Perrenoud (Switzerland), Škoda One (France), Bertille Laguet (Switzerland).
