Quiet Steps, Mina Hamada
With her soft and dreamlike creations, Mina Hamada takes contemporary urban art by storm. Abstract forms and explosive colours meet in a whimsical and intimate universe, full of serenity and joy of life, far from the noisy codes of street art. There is something both magical and profoundly human in his works, a spiritual flight without gurus or diktat, animated by a sweet desire to live and be happy. Mina Hamada creates in the moment, without sketches or external references, plunging into the heart of her feelings and memories to express the poetry she finds within herself. Oscillating between her worlds, that of Japan, Spain and her many travels, this artist never plays the exoticism card. Her cultural influences are naturally diffused in each work to let the artist's feelings blossom.
Created during the Covid19 pandemic, Quiet Steps is Mina Hamada's first Parisian exhibition for the Speerstra Gallery. These 20 works, created during the lockdown in Barcelona, are animated by a wind of freedom, as if a breath, a pause was enough to allow time, space and the human being to take a lighter, freer and more authentic course. Quiet Steps thus plunges us into a positive introspection, far from the social and urban hustle and bustle. A personal and intimate journey, where memories, inner landscapes and a gentle relationship with the other are intertwined like a kiss, an embrace.
